Ame-Zaiku is a Japanese candy craft art that can be traced back to early 1800's.  By twisting, cutting, and pulling melted candies, artists create edible figures of creatures seem like alive, flowers in full bloom, and even human caricatures.
When creating Amezaiku, syrup is heated to 176 degrees, so learning this art is always close with chance of severe burn.  Basic candy crafting starts with kneading clear glucose syrup into white colored candy by infusing air.  Upon adding basic color with food coloring, roll it into a golf ball sized ball, and put it on a stick.  Then create a shape by using only U-shaped scissor and hand.  Traditionally, Amezaiku was performed outdoors, so tools are limited to U-shaped scissor and writing brush for adding details when finished.
